Mena Alexa Suvari, born 1979. She is an American fashion designer, model and actor. She began her modeling career in the year 1990, and then moved to acting after appearances as a guest on TV shows such as Boy Meets World or High Incident. The film debut came with the show Nowhere that was which was released in 1997. She made the transition to important roles thanks to her performance in American Beauty for which she was nominated for an BAFTA Award and American Pie both of which earned her wider attention. In the following years, she starred as a co-star in Loser (2000) with her American Pie co-star Jason Biggs and then played the principal role in the comedy film Sugar & Spice (2001). The year 2002 saw her was a part in Spun the independent drama as well as the 2004 thriller, Trauma. The year 2004, she was a guest on HBO's drama Six Feet Under. She was nominated for the Screen Actors Guild Award for 2005, as part of the Outstanding Ensemble. In 2008, Suvari was included in a variety of films, such as Day of the Dead The Mysteries of Pittsburgh and the movie adaptation of The Garden of Eden.
